Our Barton Tutoring Program is a specialized one-on-one tutoring initiative rooted in the Orton-Gillingham approach. This method illuminates the phonemic structure of written language through a multi-sensory framework, recognizing that individuals facing reading challenges or disabilities excel when all senses—visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic—are engaged. With Barton’s personalized attention, each learner progresses at their own pace, addressing their specific literacy needs. This inclusive program extends its support to individuals of all ages confronting reading difficulties and disabilities, offering them tailored, one-on-one Barton tutoring.
Engaging in the Barton Tutoring program entails immersive 50-minute sessions meticulously crafted to meet individual requirements. To optimize advancement, scheduling sessions twice weekly is recommended to ensure consistent progress. Emphasizing personalized attention, each session is conducted one-on-one, fostering focused learning and meaningful interaction. Before embarking on regular sessions, a 50-minute introductory session with our Barton coordinator is essential to facilitate a seamless start to your tutoring journey.
