OUR FUNDERS AND SPONSORS

On behalf of the clients, the staff, and the board of directors of LDAWE, we would like to thank the following organizations for supporting the Association during the 2011/2012 fiscal year. Without their help LDAWE would not be able to provide all of the services and programs that are currently offered to this community.

2011/2012 Funders
	The Ministry of Community and Social Services has contracted LDAWE to provide employment supports to individuals with disabilities through the Ontario Disabilities Supports Program - Employment Supports (ODSP-ES).
	The Greater Essex County District School Board has contracted LDAWE to provide adaptive technology training to students with disabilities who have recently received SEA claim equipment.
	The Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board, in conjunction with the Ontario Focus Intervention Partnership (OFIP), entered into a service contract with LDAWE to provide an after-school, March Break and summer literacy tutoring and computer enrichment programs for children who are not achieving curriculum standards in reading or writing from grades 3–8.
	The City of Windsor has contracted LDAWE to provide client intervention services to Ontario Works recipients who have diagnosed or suspected learning disabilities or attention deficit disorder.

2011/2012 Sponsors
	The Windsor Star, under the Raise-a-Reader program, advanced funds to provide subsidies to children and youth with learning disabilities or ADHD attending the literacy portion of LDAWE's ABC123 Tutoring Program. A small portion of the funds will also be used to purchase tutoring resources to be used in the tutoring program and in LDAWE's lending library.
	Green Shield Canada advanced funds to partially sponsor LDAWE's new One-to-One Summer Tutoring Program, including wages for the 2 lead facilitators and software costs.
	Service Canada, under the Canada Summer Jobs 2011 program, has advanced funds to allow LDAWE to hire 3 students during the summer.
	The Pepsi Refresh Everything Project has advanced funds to allow LDAWE to purchase new and relevant resource materials for LDAWE's lending library and tutoring materials for LDAWE's new One-to-One Summer Tutoring Program.
The May Court Club of Windsor advanced funds to sponsor Subsidies for the SOAR Transition Planning Program, the BEST Social Skills Program, the Computer Enrichment Camp, and the Math portion of the ABC123 Tutoring Program. These subsidies enable finanically disadvantaged children and youth diagnosed, whose families are in receipt of the National Child Benefit, to participate in the Association's programs.
	The PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada Foundation advanced funds under their Leadership Grant Program to allow the LDAWE's Executive Director to attend the LDA America Conference held in Chicago from February 22-25, 2012.
The Sertoma Club of Windsor advanced funds to sponsor the Youth and Adult Recreation Programs.
