WORK OR VOLUNTEER FOR LDAWE

Volunteer

Staff and volunteers play a valuable role in LDAWE programs and services. Many of the programs LDAWE provides require at least one staff and one volunteer in order to run. Volunteers are also sometimes required for general office duties or to help with special events such as conferences, workshops, fundraising events, etc…

All volunteers are required to fill out a Volunteer Application Form and must first meet with either the Executive Director or the Resource Manager prior to starting any volunteer position. If the staff or volunteer position is directly involved with clients then an up-to-date in-depth police clearance and references will be required.

DONATE MONEY OR IN-KIND ITEMS TO LDAWE

As LDAWE does not receive any on-going core funding, donations are used to assist in maintaining LDAWE's resource and support centre, on-going programs and public education.

  • To make a donation by cheque, please send the cheque to LDAWE's office to the attention of the Resource Manager. An Official Charitable Donation Receipt will be issued for all donations of $10 or more.
  • To make a donation by credit card, please click on the icon to the right which will bring you to the CanadaHelps website to make a safe and secure on-line donation. You will receive an Official Charitable Donation Receipt directly from CanadaHelps.
  • Donations can be made in honour of someone's memory or special event (i.e. birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc...). Please specify the event and the person's name and address and a letter or card will be sent to them to acknowledge the event and to notify them that you made a donation in their honour. An Official Charitable Donation Receipt will be issued to you for the value of the donation.
